Batteries act

Most electrical appliances include batteries. In connection with the distribution of these batteries, we are obligated as a dealer under the battery law to inform our customers of the following:

Please dispose of old batteries, as prescribed by law, at a municipal collection center or dispose of them free of charge in the point of sale so that raw materials and possible pollutants can be recycled. Disposal in household waste is expressly prohibited under the Battery law. Batteries which we have or had in our assortment can be returned free of charge to us after use to the following address or send back to us by post. This applies to quantities which are usually disposed of by end users:

KS Licht- u. Elektrotechnik GmbH
Manderscheidtstraße 8 C
D-45141 Essen

This duty is depicted by the swept garbage can, which is printed on all packaging of batteries. You will also find there the chemical symbols of the substances cadmium (Cd), lead (Pb) or mercury (Hg), if these are contained in concentrations above the limit values.

You can also find these notes in the accompanying papers or in the operating instructions of the product.
